AI tools may be used as part of research organisation, drafting, editing, coding, transcription, idea development or production workflows. They are tools, not authorities.
What AI does not replace
Claims that matter should be checked against inspectable sources. Citations are not accepted merely because an AI system supplied them. Uncertainty should not be silently converted into fact.
Editorial responsibility
The publisher remains responsible for what is published, including material produced with AI assistance. Articles should be reviewed for factual accuracy, source quality, misleading compression and invented detail before publication.
Images
Where an image is AI-generated or materially synthetic in a context where a reader could reasonably mistake it for documentary evidence, it should be labelled appropriately.
